ASSIST helps older people and disabled adults living in the Withington area, especially those who have no one else to turn to.

ASSIST is a Neighbourhood Care Group working in Withington and Fallowfield. We recruit, train and support volunteers to provide simple, practical help for older and disabled residents.

ASSIST is funded by a contract with Manchester City Countil, grants and individual donations. There is a team of 60 unpaid volunteers who typically undertake about 1000 jobs each year. ASSIST is a registered charity and is affiliated to the Manchester Neighbourhood.
